RESIDENTIAL

The needs of people with developmental disabilities are just as unique and individualized as yours and mine. With 300+ dedicated employees, we are able to provide exactly what each person needs in order to allow them to live the fullest life possible. Whether they need us to stop in to help them pay their bills or if they need 24-hour assistance, Toward Independence is there for them. The individuals that we serve in their homes truly become part of the Toward Independence family

DAY SERVICES

We have three conveniently located Creative Community Connections. Each location provides an array of options to ensure that the goals of those who attend our programs are being reached and exceeded. We have established partnerships with many local companies, agencies, and individuals that provide many unique experiences for our attendees. Whether it is learning restaurant skills, boosting technology knowledge, volunteering to love animals, or any other passions, we are dedicated to connecting with our community.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is a challenge for many people with developmental disabilities. We currently provide high-quality transportation across five counties in Ohio. Our vehicles are clean, safe, modern, and wheelchair accessible. With over 20 vehicles in our fleet, we are able to provide reliable, punctual, and appropriate transportation. If there is a need for a ride to work, a single event, or a set routine, we have an open seat.

REP PAYEE SERVICES

Toward Independence provides Representative Payee services to ensure that the financial needs of individuals with developmental disabilities are managed responsibly and in their best interest. This service is designed for individuals who receive Social Security benefits (SSI/SSDI) but need support in handling their funds safely and effectively.

REMOTE SUPPORT SERVICES

Remote Support allows an off-site direct service provider to monitor and respond to a person’s health, safety, and other needs using live communication, while offering the person more independence in their home.

Remote Support uses two-way communication in real time, so a person can communicate with their providers when they need them. A person can choose supports like sensors that call for help if someone has fallen or cameras that help monitor who is visiting a person's home.
