Exciting Changes Coming for 2017 Art & Soul Exhibit 

Art & Soul is juried art exhibit, celebrating the creative expressions of artists with developmental disabilities. The presenting agenices for Art & Soul, Toward Independence, Choices in Community Living and Resident Home Association, are pleased to announce some exciting changes for the 10th annual exhibit which will be held in 2017.

Historically, the exhibit has been open to artists in 22 counties in southwest Ohio; however, in 2017, artists from all 88 counties in Ohio will be invited to submit art for the 10th annual show. .  

Entries in a variety of media will be accepted until February 3, 2017 Artists may submit two entries. Professional artists will select the top 40 entries to be included in the exhibit. The exhibit provides opportunities for artists to showcase their work to a large and diverse audience, free framing (as appropriate) for their work selected for the exhibit, the opportunity to earn income through the sale of their work, and potential for cash awards during the awards ceremonies.

The opening reception and awards ceremonies will be held Saturday, April 22  at Toward Independence, 81 East Main Street in Xenia from 3:00pm - 5:00pm. There will be increased cash awards for the top ten entries and recognition for all artists selected for the exhibit. The exhibit will remain on display through May 12.
